This DM Stash miniature features Tokrik, a reclusive survivor turned reluctant protector. Once content in solitude beneath the earth, his life was upended by Drow slavers who forced him into a labor camp among kin he never cared to know. But through the quiet kindness of a child, his heart slowly opened. Now, using his deep knowledge of the Underground, Tokrik defends and provides for his people as they struggle to survive. Perfect for players and Dungeon Masters seeking a character rooted in survival, reluctant heroism, and the slow-burning power of connection.

Solitude was always a welcome feeling to Tokrik, an outsider even among his own people. He found little want to fight their cause for liberation: for he’d rather keep to himself that indebt himself to problems that were not his to bare. So in the trenches of the Underground he lived, no family, no friends. Simply him and whatever creatures he could trap and cook that day, and whatever mushrooms he might able to dig up from the bitter soil.
It was a simple life, but one he was content with. Until Irinaxi Drow prowling the Underground found his modest hovel, burned it to the ground and threw Tokrik into a labour camp with the rest of his kin. For him, being surrounded by so much of his kin was unfathomable, a fate he hated worse than slavery itself. He would have preferred to be the sole slave to these Drow than to be one among hundreds of his people.
Though it was the kindness of a young girl that began to thaw his heart, having offered him her rations, noting his large size compared to her and that he must be much hungrier than her because of that. Taking her gift was his first step to empathising with his kin and their plight. When the uprising eventually came, though part of him wished to disappear into the Underground once again, he knew he would simply find himself in another labour camp eventually, and having grown attached to the group, he decided to see them to safety in Delvdor and perhaps start a life there too. Using his innate knowledge of the Underground and its creatures, he was able to steer them from danger several times, and concoct draughts, antidotes and use the rest of his survival skills to aid them in navigating the relentless darkness of the Underground. Now with them trapped the gates of Delvdor, he seeks to use his skills to aid them in whatever way he can, feeding them and fighting off the Troggs that come at night to feast on the weak.
