Jorjie of Hvirna – Veteran Fighter

$14.95

This DM Stash miniature features Jorjie, a warrior forged in the Liturium War. Denied the chance to fight alongside her fallen brothers, she found purpose in battle, her thirst for combat awakened at Nirloom’s siege. After the war, a routine mercenary mission exposed a dark conspiracy—Belfrian officers trading Liturium with the Rossa Cartel. Betrayed and ambushed, she barely survived. Now fueled by vengeance, she joins the Golden Griffins, the very mercenaries she once despised, to hunt those behind the scheme. Perfect for players and Dungeon Masters drawn to characters of grit, tragedy, and relentless justice.

Description

Raised in Belfrie’s north in the city of Hvirna. Jorjie was only about fifteen winters old when the Liturium War began. Though her brothers were sent to war, they did not return, and her pleas to her father and recruiters were in vain; they would not take a child nor a woman to the meatgrinder of the front lines. Though when her father passed to illness, and with her brothers all dead on the frontlines, there was naught for her to continue living for, and naught to stop her from joining them.

So at eighteen she signed as a shieldmaiden within the Formeni Vanguard as the Liturium War began to take a favourable turn for the Coalition. Though she saw little action for the final months of the campaign, save for a few minor skirmishes, it was in the crucible of Nirloom’s final siege that she found her bloodlust sated, as she slew her first enemy, and then four more after. Though she herself was wounded, she found a primal part of her heart unlocked in bloodshed. She yearned for more.

After the siege was over and the Treaty of Huvuden was signed, Jorjie was dismissed from her duties in the Formeni army, though was not yet ready to return to civilian life. She instead signed on with a small mercenary outfit that was part of the peacekeeping operations in Leacianus after the war, ensuring no potential upstarts or rebellions were formed by Leacianan loyalists. This came far from scratching the itch she had after the fires of Nirloom however, as it was mostly busy work, interrogation and observation. The few times she saw action it was against small groups of crazed Leacianan soldiers who refused to acknowledge that the war was over, and rarely did it end in battle as they would mostly find the commanding officers of the soldiers to stand down the veterans. Though it was in the wake of this that Jorjie found herself embroiled in something greater.

By chance in her observations, Jorjie witnessed Belfrian officers handing off large lead crates to unsavoury types near the border; the kind used for transporting the valuable anti-magic metal, Liturium. She confronted the exchange, but was told to stand down by the Belfrians. Though unfortunately for Jorjie, this was an exchange she was not meant to witness. Shortly after her squad was assaulted by a group of soldiers in Belfrian military uniform, and they took heavy losses. Inspecting their dead attackers after, one of her squad mates found a signet ring denoting their attackers as part of the Rossa Cartel. With this info, she vowed revenge and was driven by a desire to uncover what the cartel planned on doing with the materials.

Her only lead and starting place was the Golden Griffins, another mercenary company she detested after their various betrayals during the Liturium War. But it seemed for her they had a plan of their own for the Rossa Cartel, one that she wanted to be part of.
